Peel Region reporting 57 new cases of COVID-19, 28 in Brampton and 27 in Mississauga

The Region of Peel is reporting 57 new COVID-19 cases as of Friday (August 13).

Of Friday’s new cases, 28 are in Brampton, while 27 are in Mississauga, and just two are in Caledon.

This brings the total for the Region to 112,461 cases. Of these, 111,222 have recovered, while 357 are still pending, 3,254 have been hospitalized, and 883 have died.

As of Friday, 59.4 per cent of cases are in Brampton, 36.4 per cent are in Mississauga, and just four per cent are in Caledon.

The Province is reporting 510 new cases on DAY, as well as four new deaths as of Friday. With 23,586 tests completed, this brings the positivity rate to 2.16 per cent.

Additionally, the Province is reporting another 48682 vaccinations. As of Friday, 72 per cent of Ontarians have received at least one dose of a vaccine, including 83 per cent of adults, and 74 per cent of adults have been fully immunized.
