Peel Region reporting 52 new COVID-19 cases, 27 in Mississauga and 22 in Brampton

The Region of Peel is reporting 52 new COVID-19 cases as of Tuesday (August 31).
Of Tuesday’s new cases, 27 are in Mississauga, while 22 are in Brampton, and just three are in Caledon.
This brings the total for the Region to 113,933 cases. Of these, 112,439 have recovered, while 548 are still pending, 3,329 have been hospitalized, and 947 have died.
As of Tuesday, 59.2 per cent of cases are in Brampton, 36.5 per cent are in Mississauga, and just 4.1 per cent are in Caledon.
The Province is reporting 525 new cases on Tuesday, as well as five new deaths. With 19,643 tests completed, this brings the positivity rate to 2.67 per cent.
Additionally, the Province is reporting another 31,176 vaccinations. As of Tuesday, 73 per cent of Ontarians have received at least one dose of a vaccine, including 85 per cent of adults, and 78 per cent of adults have been fully immunized.
