Peel Region reporting 50 new COVID-19 cases, 31 in Mississauga and 17 in Brampton

The Region of Peel is reporting 50 new COVID-19 cases as of Tuesday (September 21).

Of Tuesday’s new cases, 31 are in Mississauga, while 17 are in Brampton, and just two are in Caledon.

This brings the total for the Region to 115,828 cases. Of these, 114,287 have recovered, while 549 are still pending, 3,400 have been hospitalized, and 993 have died.

As of Tuesday, 58.9 per cent of cases are in Brampton, 36.8 per cent are in Mississauga, and just 4.1 per cent are in Caledon.

The Province is reporting 574 new cases on Tuesday, as well as eight new deaths. With 23,631 tests completed, this brings the positivity rate to 2.43 per cent.

Additionally, the Province is reporting another 30,072 vaccinations. As of Tuesday, 75 per cent of Ontarians have received at least one dose of a vaccine, including 87 per cent of adults, and 81 per cent of adults have been fully immunized.
