Peel Region reporting 39 new COVID-19 cases, 34 in Mississauga and just four in Brampton

The Region of Peel is reporting 39 new COVID-19 cases as of Wednesday (October 13).

Of Wednesday’s new cases, 34 are in Mississauga, while four are in Brampton, and just one is in Caledon.

This brings the total for the Region to 117,240 cases. Of these, 115,856 have recovered, while 365 are still pending, 3,445 have been hospitalized, and 1,020 have died.

As of Wednesday, 58.6 per cent of cases are in Brampton, 37 per cent are in Mississauga, and just 4.1 per cent are in Caledon.

The Province is reporting 306 new cases on Wednesday, as well as 12 new deaths. With 23,219 tests completed, this brings the positivity rate to 1.32 per cent.

As of Wednesday, 87 per cent of Peel residents over the age of 11 have received one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, while 82 per cent have received both.
