Peel Region reporting 38 new COVID-19 cases, 22 in Mississauga and 12 in Brampton

The Region of Peel is reporting 38 new COVID-19 cases as of Tuesday (August 10).

Of Tuesday’s new cases, 22 are in Mississauga, while 12 are in Brampton, and just four are in Caledon.

This brings the total for the Region to 112,265 cases. Of these, 111,127 have recovered, while 262 are still pending, 3,250 have been hospitalized, and 877 have died.

As of Tuesday, 59.5 per cent of cases are in Brampton, 36.4 per cent are in Mississauga, and just four per cent are in Caledon.

The Province is reporting 321 new cases on Tuesday, as well as two new deaths. With 16,479 tests completed, this brings the positivity rate down slightly to 1.95 per cent.

Additionally, the Province is reporting another 48,278 vaccinations. As of Tuesday, 71.4 per cent of Ontarians have received at least one dose of a vaccine, including 83 per cent of adults, and 73.3 per cent of adults have been fully immunized.
