Peel Region reporting 34 new COVID-19 cases, 21 in Mississauga and 13 in Brampton

The Region of Peel is reporting 34 new COVID-19 cases as of Monday (September 27).

Of Monday’s new cases, 21 are in Mississauga, while 13 are in Brampton, and zero are in Caledon.

This brings the total for the Region to 116,233 cases. Of these, 114,816 have recovered, while 412 are still pending, 3,419 have been hospitalized, and 1,006 have died.

As of Monday, 58.8 per cent of cases are in Brampton, 36.9 per cent are in Mississauga, and just 4.1 per cent are in Caledon.

The Province is reporting 613 new cases on Monday, but no new deaths. With 22,633 tests completed, this brings the positivity rate to 2.71 per cent—only the second time in the last six days the positivity rate has been two per cent or higher.

Additionally, the Province is reporting another 20,454 vaccinations. As of Monday, 76 per cent of Ontarians have received at least one dose of a vaccine, including 87 per cent of adults, and 82 per cent of adults have been fully immunized.
