Peel Region reporting 28 new COVID-19 cases, 15 in Mississauga and 13 in Brampton

The Region of Peel is reporting 28 new COVID-19 cases as of Thursday (October 28).

Of Thursday’s new cases, 15 are in Mississauga, while 13 are in Brampton, and zero are in Caledon.

This brings the total for the Region to 117,951 cases. Of these, 116,691 have recovered, while 238 are still pending, 3,489 have been hospitalized, and 1,023 have died.

As of Thursday, 58.5 per cent of cases are in Brampton, 37.1 per cent are in Mississauga, and just 4.2 per cent are in Caledon.

The Province is reporting 409 new cases on Thursday, as well as three new deaths. With 31,383 tests completed, this brings the positivity rate to 1.3 per cent.

As of Thursday, 88 per cent of eligible Peel residents have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, and 83 per cent have been fully immunized.
