Peel Public Health is working on plans on how the COVID-19 vaccine will be rolled out to the 12 to 15 age group in Mississauga and Brampton.

The Provincial government announced last week that it expects the younger age group will be able to receive the vaccine by June now that Health Canada has approved the Pfizer dose as safe for those 12 to 15.

Peel is scheduled to announce later this week how distribution will work as the eligible age is lowered. School boards throughout the region are expected to be part of the rollout plan.

As of today, anyone 16 years of age and can book a vaccination at a number of Peel Region clinics.
