Peel Police seek witnesses to Mississauga shooting incident

Peel Regional Police are looking to speak with potential witnesses to a shooting incident in Mississauga Friday night (Oct. 15).

According to police, officers were called just before 10 p.m. to the area of Highway 403 and Mavis Road to reports of shots being fired at a vehicle.

A vehicle was damaged, but its occupants avoided physical injuries, police said.

The eastbound 403 between Erin Mills Parkway and Hurontario Street was closed for several hours following the incident for an investigation.

Investigators from the 11 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau are now hoping to speak with possible witnesses or to obtain video surveillance concerning the incident.
