Peel Police on scene in Brampton after cyclist struck by car

UPDATE: the cyclist has been transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Peel Police in Brampton are on the scene of a collision involving a cyclist Monday morning (Jan. 31) that has closed several roads in the area.

According to police, a cyclist was struck by a vehicle in the area of Heart Lake Road and Brussels Avenue in Brampton shortly after 7 a.m.

Police say the cyclist was riding an E-bike and was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Brussels Avenue is closed to eastbound traffic while emergency crews are on scene, and police are urging motorists to use alternate routes as road closures and lane restrictions are in place as officers investigate.
