40-year-old man wanted in a pharmacy robbery in Brampton

Peel Regional Police is seeking the public’s help in locating a suspect in connection to a pharmacy robbery that happened Monday evening.

On Feb. 20, 2023, at approximately 6:00 p.m., police responded to a call near the area of Vodden St/Kennedy Rd in Brampton.

Officers say a knife was seen, but haven’t confirmed if it was used as a weapon in the robbery.

It is unknown what or if any items were stolen from the pharmacy at this time.

Police say that anyone present during the incident did not suffer physical injuries.

The suspect at large is described as being a white man, 40-years-old, tall with a slim build. He was wearing all black clothing and a dark hat.

Recently, pharmacy robberies are happening often in the areas of Mississauga and Brampton.

On the evening of Jan. 10 2023, five men robbed a pharmacy in the Goreway Drive and Derry Road area of Mississauga.

A similar incident took places days later involving another group of individuals who targeted a pharmacy in the south end of Mississauga.

On Jan. 18, 2023 around 6 p.m., Peel police said that that four suspects in dark clothing, including at least one with a visible firearm, had made off with cash and narcotes from a store in the Lakeshore Road / Oakwood Ave.

In the last two months pharmacies in Pickering, Oshawa, and Whitby have also fallen victim to such thefts.
