Peel Police concerned for the well-being of a 72-year-old missing man from Mississauga

Peel Regional Police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing elderly man from Mississauga who was last seen walking near a park.

On Sunday (Feb. 26) 2023, at approximately 6:30 p.m., police responded to a missing persons call.

Police say Huong Tran was last seen walking southbound on Sidmouth St near Pickwick Green Park in Mississauga.

The 72-year-old is described as being 5-foot-3, with a slim build. He was wearing glasses, a dark blue jacket, a brown hat with ear flaps, light running shoes, and is known to walk with a cane.

Police added that the elderly man is not familiar with the area and may be confused.

Anyone who has seen Huong Tran or knows where he could be is asked to dial 9-1-1 immediately.

UPDATE:

Peel police are thanking the public for their help. Huong Tran was located safe and sound by an observant citizen. The 72-year-old is in good health and returned home.
