A pedestrian was taken to the trauma centre Tuesday morning after a collision at Winston Churchill Blvd. and Royal Windsor Dr. in Mississauga.

A pedestrian was taken to the trauma centre Tuesday morning after a collision at a major Mississauga intersection.

Peel Police say the male was walking at an intersection at Winston Churchill Blvd. and Royal Windsor Dr. just after 6:30 a.m. when they were struck.

The vehicle remained at the scene.

The male pedestrian is expected to recover from his injuries.

Police closed the eastbound lanes on Royal Windsor at Winston Churchill.
