Pedestrian struck on Hamilton mountain, police ask residents to avoid area

Hamilton Police are on the scene of a collision involving a pedestrian on the mountain Friday morning (April 8).

Police are urging members of the public to avoid a portion of Upper Wentworth St, north of the LINC as emergency crews attend the scene.

The pedestrian, a 42-year-old man, has been taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Residents in the area should expect a heavy police presence as the service’s Collision Reconstruction Unit has been called in to investigate.
