Update: Pedestrian struck on a major street in Mississauga

A pedestrian was hit and injured on a main road in Mississauga early this morning.
A vehicle struck the woman at Kennedy Road and Brunel Road in the Britannia area just after 6 a.m., Peel Regional Police said.
The woman was conscious and breathing and being assessed by Peel Paramedics, police said. But they later added she was transported to hospital in unknown condition.
The driver remained on scene, police said.
Kennedy Road was closed in the area for the investigation.
Update: Just after 9 a.m., police said the pedestrian’s injuries are not life-threatening and the road had reopened.
