Pedestrian struck in Mississauga; Britannia Road closed

A pedestrian was transported to hospital after being struck by a vehicle in Mississauga Wednesday night.
The female was hit at the Britannia and Whittle Rd. intersection, just before 11:30 p.m.
Peel Police say the vehicle remained on the scene.
The victim was transported to hospital.
No further update on her condition was provided.
Police advised motorists to use alternate routes.
