Pedestrian struck by vehicle in Oakville

A pedestrian received minor injuries after being struck by a car in Oakville on the weekend.

According to police reports, the incident happened just before 4 p.m. on Sixteen Mile Dr. on Sept. 3.

The pedestrian was struck near the Viva Oakville Retirement Community.

Emergency crews that arrived on the scene say the pedestrian suffered injuries to the arm but were not serious.

Still, the person was taken to the hospital for an examination.

Reports say the driver of the vehicle is not facing any charges.
