Update: Pedestrian seriously injured in Mississauga crash

A pedestrian was seriously injured in a car crash in Mississauga.
The pedestrian, an adult man of unspecified age, was walking near Williamsport Dr. and Havenwood Dr., a residential area in the city’s east side.
He was struck by a car shortly before 6:30 p.m on Dec. 22. Peel Regional Police arrived on the scene and located the pedestrian suffering serious injuries.
He was rushed to a local trauma centre where he remains.
The driver remained at the scene.
Motorists are advised to steer clear of the area while police investigate the collision.
Update: The 71-year-old man remains in life threatening condition, Peel Regional Police said in a tweet just before 8 a.m. on Dec. 23.
