Pedestrian sent to hospital after being struck by a vehicle in Mississauga

A pedestrian was sent to hospital after being hit by a vehicle this morning in Mississauga.
A woman struck at Shelter Bay Road and Derry Road in Meadowvale West just before 9 a.m. on Monday (April 10), Peel Regional Police said.
She was sent to hospital but there was no further information on her condition.
Derry Road eastbound from Shelter Bay Road was closed.
Police advised drivers to use alternative routes.
Update: Just before 11 a.m., police said the road was reopened.
