Pedestrian rushed to hospital and major intersection closed following crash in Brampton

A pedestrian has been injured and a major intersection has been closed following a crash in Brampton.
Peel Regional Police say the collision happened in the area of Bovaird Drive and Chinguacousy Road in Brampton around 1:30 p.m. on Thursday (Spet. 28).
At least one vehicle and a pedestrian were involved in the crash and police say the pedestrian has been taken to hospital, but did not comment on the severity of their injuries.
Police have closed the intersection of Bovaird Drive and Chinguacousy Road while officers are on the scene and drivers are being asked to avoid the area and find alternate routes if possible.
