Pedestrian rushed to hospital after serious crash in Brampton

A pedestrian in Brampton has been seriously injured after being struck by a vehicle last night (Nov. 14).

Peel Regional Police say officers were called to the area of Mclaughlin Rd. and Sandalwood Pkwy. West around 8:40 p.m. on Monday night for reports of a crash.

When officers arrived on scene they found a male pedestrian in his 60s who had been struck by a vehicle.

The man was taken to a local trauma centre with serious injuries. Police say the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene of the crash.

Mclaughlin Rd. was closed south of Sandalwood while police investigated the incident. Police did not comment on the extent of the man’s injuries.
