Pedestrian in hospital following two-vehicle crash in Mississauga

Police respond to person in crisis in Brampton

A pedestrian with unknown injuries is in hospital following a two-vehicle crash in Mississauga this afternoon.

On Saturday (Sept. 30) shortly before 12:30 p.m., police responded to a collision in the area of Britannia Rd. and Millcreek Dr., northwest of Glen Erin Dr.

According to police, a pedestrian was also involved in the two-vehicle crash and was taken to a trauma centre.

The extent of the pedestrian’s injuries are unknown at this time, police say.

Officers confirm that both driver’s remained at the scene.

As a result of the accident, investigators have closed the eastbound area of Britannia Rd. at Joymar Dr., for the time being.

Driver’s are asked to avoid the area and seek alternative routes.

Police have not indicated when the roads will reopen.
