Pedestrian hit in Brampton; drivers should take alternative routes

There were road closures in Brampton on Thursday night after a man on foot was hit by driver and was rushed to a trauma centre.
Peel Regional Police conveyed that its major collision bureau, which performs reconstructions to investigate serious collisions, was en route to the scene of the collision, at Queen Street and Rutherford Road. The bureau’s investigations often require road closures that last for a few hours, so drivers should take alternative routes.
Paramedics transported the injured man to a trauma centre. The driver remained at the scene, in compliance with provincial law.
