Pedestrian hit by vehicle in Mississauga rushed to hospital

One man is in hospital after being struck by a vehicle in Mississauga this morning (Feb. 27).

Peel Regional Police say officers were called to the Weir Chase and Whitehorne Ave. area in Mississauga around 9:00 a.m. after a male pedestrian was hit by a vehicle.

The man was rushed to hospital with non-life threatening injuries and police say the driver remained on the scene.

Police closed Whitehorn Ave. between Duval Dr. and Weir Chase while officers were on the scene investigating but the road has since reopened.
