Pedestrian dead after being hit by vehicle in Mississauga

A pedestrian has been struck by a vehicle this morning in Mississauga.

A man is in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle in Mississauga Friday morning according to Peel police.


Emergency crews responded to reports of a pedestrian hit in the area of Eglinton Avenue and Erin Mills Parkway at 6:14 a.m.

UPDATE: The pedestrian was transported to the local hospital and has been pronounced dead.

Eglinton Avenue is closed between Erin Mills Parkway and Glen Erin Drive as police investigate.

Westbound Eglinton lanes are still open.

These roads will be closed for at least 2 hours for the investigation.
