A pedestrian bridge in Burlington’s Lowville Park will be out of service for several months.

The west Lowville Park pedestrian bridge located at the end of Lowville Park Rd. is being replaced by the City of Burlington.

The work will include:

  • Tree removal
  • Removal of the existing bridge
  • Installation of a new bridge (2.5m wide)
  • Restoration and tree planting

The new bridge will be a steel truss structure, similar to the existing centre and east bridges in Lowville Park.

The bridge and surrounding construction zone will be closed to the public for safety purposes during the construction period.

The centre and east bridges and all other areas of the park will remain open during the construction.

The start date for the construction is tentatively late July and will continue for approximately four months.
