We he or won’t he?

Patrick Brown is expected to announce today whether or not he will run for re-election for the mayor’s position in Brampton.

Brown had been seeking the leadership of the federal Conservative party but was disqualified from the race earlier this month over allegations that he broke fundraising rules.

Brown, 44, came from out of nowhere to win the mayoral race in the 2018 when he defeated incumbent Linda Jeffrey.

He has kept his plans for the future under wraps and today’s announcement will determine not only his political future, but those of other aspiring politicians who are expected to jump into the mayor’s race if Brown declines to run.
