Passenger in Trauma Centre After Crash Near Major Brampton Intersection

Police have reported a crash tonight in Brampton.
Police said at 10:25 p.m. that there had been a crash in the area of Steeles and Hurontario.

The collision involved a single vehicle crashing into a pole. The passenger has been taken to a trauma centre.

Steeles is currently closed in both directions between Orchard and Hurontario.
UPDATE: As of about 11:15 p.m. the female passenger’s injuries are serious but non-life threatening, say police. The male driver is in custody for impaired driving.
UPDATE: Roads reopened by 5 a.m. Friday.
