Party like it’s 2019 at Oshawa’s Lakeview Park on Canada Day

After two years of pandemic-induced caution the City of Oshawa is ready to party like its 2109 and is inviting the community to Lakeview Park for a day of fun with friends and family this Canada Day on Friday, July 1.
The festivities begin at 2 p.m. with activities and entertainment for all ages. Some of the family friendly options include inflatables, The Woofjocks Canine All Stars, Hands on Exotics, Sandqube Sand Sculptures with interactive sandcastle workshops, an Invado Volleyball Tournament and more.
Opening ceremonies will kick off at 4:30 p.m. with Kalista Wilson singing ‘O Canada.’ The day will also include live performances from The Heat, Kailey Haskell, Penalty Box, From the Hip, local favourites The Doozies and the legendary Dandy Lion Wine.
There will also be displays from community partners, local food vendors, family, beach and activity zones, a midway and more. At 10 p.m., a firework show presented by Tribute Communities will close the day with a spectacular celebration of light.
“City staff have outdone themselves again by creating another signature event that features something for everyone to enjoy,” said Oshawa Mayor Dan Carter. “Join us for a day of fun with family and friends in beautiful Lakeview Park this July 1.”
Jube pavilion at Lakeview Park
Public parking at Lakeview Park is not available unless the vehicle has an accessible sticker issued by the Ministry of Transportation. Beginning at 1 p.m., a shuttle service will run from the Oshawa Centre to Lakeview Park until 9:15 p.m. The shuttle will return attendees to the Oshawa Centre after the firework display has finished.
