Drivers in Port Colborne are being warned to avoid a portion of Wilhelm Road all next week as it’s shut down for repairs.

The City said in a release today (July 14) Wilhelm Road from Second Concession Road to Highway 3 will be temporarily closed to vehicular and pedestrian traffic from July 19 at 6 am all the way through to July 23 at 6 pm.

The road is closed as workers from Niagara Region replace a large road crossing culvert.

Even emergency vehicles will not have access.

Detour signs will be posted, and motorists are asked to use the following route: RR98 (Schill Rd.) to RR25 (Netherby Rd.) to RR84 (Miller Rd.) to Highway 3.

Residents with questions are being asked to call Niagara Region Dispatch at 905-984-3690.
