Part of busy Oakville road closed for construction work

A stretch of Sixth Line in Oakville will be closed for the next two weeks.

The Town of Oakville is notifying local residents that Sixth Line, between Burnhamthorpe Rd. and Bowbeer Rd., will be closed from May 9 to Friday, May 20 for watermain connection work.

During construction residents will be able to use the detour route, which will run along the Sixth Line, Dundas St. E., Trafalgar Rd. and Burnhamthorpe Rd.

Residents are asked to avoid the area if possible.
