Police are looking for Shaquane Kevin Stewart.

A Brampton man on the run from police for a parole violation is considered armed and dangerous and could be hiding out anywhere in the GTA.

Peel Regional Police say 25-year-old Shaquane Kevin Stewart was convicted of prior firearms charges and sentenced to jail time. After serving part of his sentence, he was released to serve the remainder in a halfway house in Brampton and ordered to follow strict conditions.

“After an investigation…it was discovered that Shaquane Stewart, while on parole, was found to be in possession of a loaded illegal firearm with its serial number removed. He has since fled his residential facility, and his whereabouts are unknown,” according to police.

Stewart’s parole has since been revoked, and he is currently wanted on a Canada-wide warrant by the Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement squad (ROPE). He is also wanted by the Peel Police on several weapon charges.

He is described as 6-foot-3, approximately 220 lbs, with a dark complexion, short-style hair, brown eyes, and a beard.

Stweart is considered armed and dangerous, and if seen, members of the public should call 911.

Investigators are asking anyone with information on his whereabouts to contact 21 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau officers at 905-453-2121 extension 2133. Information may also be left anonymously by calling Peel Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or visiting peelcrimestoppers.ca.
