A parking lot at a busy Mississauga GO station is permanently closing.
Metrolinx, the operator of GO Transit, says the lot that has been operational for several years at the corner of Hurontario Street and Park Street, which serves the Port Credit GO station, will be shutting down as of June 30.
With the closure of the lot, customers will be directed to the north or southwest lots at the site, which have access to the station and GO Transit services.
Reserved and carpool parking spots are available in the north parking lot.
“Parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis,” according to Metrolinx. “Please consider alternative modes of transportation such as pick up/drop off, cycling, walking, and local transit.”
As construction work has taken up much of the area for ongoing work on the LRT, once it’s complete, Metrolinx says a new 96-space secured bike storage will be available for the benefit of GO Transit customers
