stolen vans caledon found guelph

Police are still searching for one half of a pair of work vans stolen from a Caledon business after one of the vehicles turned up in Guelph.

The Guelph Police Service says officers got a call on March 20 from the owner of a commercial property near Gordon Street and Gosling Gardens about a vehicle that had been left nearby.

Police say the Good Samaritan noticed a company’s name on the side of the van and called the business, revealing that two of the company’s vans had been stolen from Caledon earlier in the day.

Investigators found video footage from another nearby business that showed a driver park the van in Guelph around 4:15 a.m. on March 21. The two occupants of the van are then picked up by the driver of a second vehicle.

Police are still searching for the second stolen van and are asking anyone who may have information about the vehicle thefts to contact investigators.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact Const. Sarah Huddleston of the Guelph Police Service by calling 519-824-1212 ext. 7350, or by email at [email protected]. Anonymous tips can also be submitted by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or online at www.ontariocrimestoppers.ca.
