Brampton Animal Services earned their stripes this week, rescuing a pair of coyote pups that had become trapped while exploring Wet’n’Wild water park in Brampton–which is currently closed due to the pandemic.

On August 25, Wet’n’Wild staff called animal control upon discovering the two pups were playing in the rainwater in the area of the Cannonball Falls ride.

Fortunately, Brampton Animal Services staff were able to safely rescue the pups and assess them for injury—they were found to be in good health.

“Brampton is home to a range of urban wildlife, including beavers, geese, coyotes, deer, and rabbits,” Kathy Duncan, manager of Brampton Animal Services, said in a news release.

“It’s important that we know how to live peacefully with our animal friends, and Brampton Animal Services is always here to help, whether it’s by rescuing wildlife from unpredictable situations like this, or keeping residents informed and educated,” she continued.
