Pair from Brampton and Caledon face more than 10 charges in theft investigation

A duo from Brampton and Caledon are facing more than 10 combined charges after thefts and a hit-and-run in Peel Region last month.
Back in July, the Caledon OPP say officers began investigating a string of thefts, including a stolen vehicle in Caledon. Police say a vehicle used in the thefts was also involved in a hit-and-run collision in Brampton.
On Thursday (Aug. 11), police say members of the OPP Community Street Crimes Unit were able to locate two suspects who were arrested with the assistance of Peel Regional Police.
Jugraj Cheema, 31, of Brampton is facing one charge of Fail to Attend Court, five counts of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000, and four counts of Possession of Identity Documents.
Vikramjeet Singh, 23, of Caledon is facing one charge of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime.
The accused are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville on Oct. 27.
None of the allegations have been proven in court.
