The Hamilton Tiger-Cats and Canadian Football League announced Friday (Apr. 29) that Paige Ottaviano will be joining the Tiger-Cats as part of the inaugural cohort of the Women in Football Program.

Each of the CFL’s nine clubs will welcome one woman to join their football operations or business administration departments for a four-week development opportunity, coinciding with the start of training camp on May 15.

“We are fortunate to be able to welcome such a qualified individual into our organization,” said Orlondo Steinauer, head coach and president of football operations for the Tiger-Cats. “Paige brings a wealth of experience to our group and we’re excited at the value she will add to our staff. Let’s get to work!”

Ottaviano arrives in Hamilton with a strong background in sports operations and business administration. She worked with Golf Canada on various events, including the Canadian Open and the CP Women’s Open, as well as working for the Dana LPGA Open and the 2021 Solheim Cup.

She was also a member of Team Canada’s business operations team for the 2018 Winter Olympic Games.

“We’re thrilled to open our doors to these talented women,” said CFL Commissioner Randy Ambrosie. “I know our teams will create a meaningful and immersive educational experience for our participants. Wherever their careers take them, we hope they reflect on this program with a clear sense of positivity and purpose.”
