Over a thousand homes and businesses in Hamilton are without power Friday morning (Oct. 22).
Alectra Utilities is reporting a power outage is affecting 1286 customers in the area of Scenic Drive to Mohawk Road West from Garth Street in the Mountview neighbourhood.
Crews have been dispatched to the area to make repairs.
The cause of the power outage is not known.
An estimated return to power is 8:00 a.m.
