As of today (Aug. 17), Halton Region has administered over 800,000 COVID-19 vaccines.

A total of 818,852 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Halton, which includes 412,048 first doses and 406,804 second doses.

This represents 83 per cent of Halton’s population ages 12 and up who have received at least one dose of the vaccine and 76 per cent who have received both doses.

Halton Region Public Health continues to encourage residents to complete both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine this summer in order to gain full protection against the virus and help prevent a fourth wave in the fall.

All residents are eligible to receive a second dose of the vaccine after a minimum of 28 days. Anyone who has appointments booked in September and October is urged to reschedule to an earlier date as soon as possible.

Appointments can be booked online at community clinics, at select primary care offices or pharmacies in Halton.
