It’s never easy to be in the hospital, but for many patients, receiving inpatient treatment over the holidays is especially difficult.

For that reason, Trillium Health Partners, the health organization that operates the Mississauga Hospital and Credit Valley Hospital, has launched a gift catalogue that will allow buyers to support people in need over the holidays.

The online catalogue offers a range of gifts for children, seniors, healthcare workers, new moms and more.

Some gift options include a new baby bundle ($75), a kids’ movie night ($25), gifts for hospital staff ($25-$100), transportation for seniors ($100), scrubs for healthcare workers ($25-$100), a visit from Santa ($50), a new mom care pack ($50), a tablet for video calls ($50-$100) and more.

The catalogue also offers shoppers the option of helping the hospital directly by donating anywhere from $50 to $300 to help the hospital system fund life-saving equipment. There’s also an option to make a big ticket donation ($1,000 – $5,000) to replace current MRIs with “cutting-edge technology.”

Donations of just $10 can also be made, along with words of encouragement for hospital staff.

“Gifts of Healing is an online catalogue that features gifts which can be ordered to support patients and hospital staff,” THP said in a news release.

“This is especially significant now, as hospitals in Ontario are looking for any help they can receive.”
