According to the federal government’s data, there have been over a hundred flights with confirmed cases of COVID-19 at Pearson International Airport since the start of the new year.

Since January 1, 2021, at least 103 flights have departed or arrived at Pearson with confirmed cases.

Of those 103 flights, it’s reported that 56 were domestic flights (within the country) and 47 were international flights coming from or going to other countries.

The cases were reported between January 1 and January 9.

Additionally, one flight was reported at Hamilton International Airport.

A number of rows were affected on each flight. Rows numbers and flight data for the past two weeks are available here.

Passengers who were sitting in the affected rows (or all passengers on the flight if rows aren’t specified) are advised to self-monitor for symptoms for 14 days and contact public health if they start showing symptoms of the virus.

The government is continuing to discourage all non-essential travel, and residents who return from travel abroad are advised to quarantine for 14 days.

Starting last week, Pearson International Airport has launched a COVID-19 testing program that allows international travelers arriving in Canada access to free, voluntary tests administered by Switch Health.

Tests are available at both Terminal 1 and Terminal 3, and Canadian citizens and permanent residents returning from international travel, and foreign nationals currently permitted entry into the country are eligible to receive one.
