An outdoor rock climbing event is happening soon in the Town of Milton.

The event is taking place at Rattlesnake Point Conservation Area on Tuesday, Aug. 16 and will feature two climbs, one in the afternoon (1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.) and one in the evening (6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.).

It is being hosted by I Challenge Diabetes (ICD), a leader in exercise and diabetes, who has helped over 300,00 Canadians living with type 1 diabetes (T1D).

At the event, attendees will be able to join others with T1D to test their limits and diabetes management skills on the rock walls of the Niagara Escarpment.

A trained team will be setting up top ropes, providing safety equipment and guiding participants through the basics of outdoor rock climbing.

All skills and levels in both climbing and diabetes management are welcome and the event is open to anyone living with T1D.
