Leisure skating hours of operation at the outdoor rinks at Delpark Homes Centre have been extended, starting Saturday.

The new hours for the rinks, which opened January 14, are 9 a.m. to 10 p.m., weather dependent, with lighting added to accomodate nightime skaters. Hours of operation may be adjusted depending on ice or weather conditions. The outdoor rinks are located on the southeast sport field near the main entrance of the facility.

The two naturally frozen rinks are available for leisure skating only and visitors are asked to follow posted capacity limits based on government orders and public health recommendations.

Benches are located next to the rinks for skaters to put on skates and helmets.

Only persons wearing skates or sledges are permitted on the ice.

C.S.A. approved hockey helmets are strongly recommended for all skaters.

Rinks are monitored hourly by City of Oshawa staff. Report any concerns to the Delpark Homes Centre by calling 905-436-5455.

Washroom access is available at Delpark Homes Centre from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Monday to Sunday.

Visit www.oshawa.ca/skate for more information.

Residents are asked to stay home if exhibiting any symptoms of COVID-19 or are not feeling well and to follow all posted signage and COVID-19 public health guidelines.
