A routine traffic stop in Brampton turned into a significant discovery when a Peel Regional Police officer noticed an expired inspection sticker on a passing truck.

According to authorities, the incident occurred in the area of Mississauga Rd and Williams Parkway in Brampton on Thursday (Sept. 7).

Upon approaching the truck, the officer said in a tweet that they noticed a load being transported, including a Bobcat construction vehicle, which was inadequately secured.

Specifically, the Bobcat was found to be unstrapped, posing a safety risk to other road users.

Furthermore, a check of the driver’s credentials revealed that they had been suspended from driving for a period of 30 years.

Police have not disclosed the specific reasons behind this suspension.

However, authorities said that charges have been laid and the truck has been impounded.
