Alectra says the outage was reported shortly before 6 p.m., north of Highway 407 and west of Hurontario Street.
Over 3,000 customers were initially impacted by the outage, but power has returned to around 1,300.
The cause of the blackout is under investigation, the utility provider says. No time for when power may return to all customers has been given.
