The Holi Gala is coming back for its 9th year to raise funds for Brampton hospitals and the William Osler Health System Foundation.

The in-person fundraiser event is returning after a two-year hiatus and will raise funds for the health system which operates three hospitals in Brampton and Etobicoke, including Brampton Civic and the Peel Memorial Centre.

Osler said the Festival of Colours gala will feature “excitement, colour and grandeur” as guests are transported to the majestic palaces of India through music, food and dancing, all in support of Osler hospitals.

More than $2.3 million has been raised through Holi Galas since 2014. Osler hopes to raise some $450,000 at this year’s event to help support the community and build back from the COVID-19 pandemic.

“As physicians working through this pandemic, we know how important health care has been and continues to be for our community. This highly-anticipated event will help us build back even stronger than we were before,” gala committee co-chairs Dr. Vandana Ahluwalia and Dr. Gurjit Bajwa said in a release.

The gala will feature live entertainment by bhangra musician Jazzy B and auction prizes including courtside Toronto Raptors tickets.

The event runs on Saturday, April 9 at 6:00 p.m. at Brampton’s Pearson Convention Centre.

All attendees are required to provide proof of double vaccination. For information and tickets visit support.oslerfoundation.org.
