Oshawa’s Arthur Erikson-designed Robert McLaughlin Gallery will finally re-open to the public August 3.

A social media message from the gallery said they were “excited” to open, with several protocols and guidelines put in place to “ensure the health and safety of our visitors, volunteers, and staff.”

A new exhibit of Bowmanville-based artist Ron Eccles’s work, called ‘Primary Structures’ will debut on the gallery’s re-opening day and will run to December 5. The exhibition focuses on a new series and work from his last fifteen years.

Also on tap is Layers of Love – an interactive collage-making website that was created by Khadija Aziz and Laura Kay Keeling in early 2021.

The McLaughlin Gallery is home to the world’s largest collection of the works of the Painters Eleven group.

For more information on the re-opening protocols, visit the gallery’s website.
