Ontario Tech University has extended its mandatory vaccination directive to at least Fall 2022.

All students – including those enrolled in online courses – are required to be double vaccinated against COVID-19 by October 17. Non-compliance puts students at risk of being deregistered from in-person courses as well as potentially being ineligible to register for the Winter 2022 term.

In order to ensure access to on-campus services, activities and resources, students need to upload proof of COVID-19 vaccination or approved accommodation for essential in-person learning using the university’s daily online COVID-19 screening questionnaire, via the mobile app or the website.

Since September 3, only individuals with at least their first dose of the vaccine have been permitted on campus. As of Sunday, October 17, only those who have received their second dose (in the case of a two-dose series) or their complete single dose (in the case of a single-dose vaccine), will be permitted on campus. Excerptions will be made for those with proof of an approved accommodation for essential in-person learning.

  • Proof of vaccination status must be in the form of an official government-issued document or the document received from the organization that administered your vaccine
  • You only need to upload your vaccination proof once
  • After you upload your documentation, you still need to complete the screening questionnaire each day you come to campus until further notice
