Oshawa woman among ten charged in Bancroft fentanyl bust

A woman from Oshawa faces numerous drug charges after the OPP busted up a suspected fentanyl and cocaine trafficking operation.

Several OPP units, including Community Street Crime, Emergency Response Team and Canine, worked together to raid a home on Bridge St E in Bancroft on August 2.


During the raid police found an unspecified amount of fentanyl, cocaine, crystal methamphetamine and psilocybin. Additionally, cops found small gold and silver bars, hundred of dollars in cash and stolen property, mostly power tools.

Investigators believe the recovered property solved two local break-ins. In all the OPP scooped up 12 people in the raid, later releasing two without charges.

Ashley Shaw, 32 of Oshawa, was charged with two count of schedule one drug possession for trafficking, possession of schedule three drugs for trafficking, and failure to comply with probation.

Two others, Joseph Kidman, 48 of Bancroft and Joshua Walsh, 39 of Gorham, were charged with the same offenses.

Meanwhile David T. Vautour, 33, and Zon Rawcliffe, 36, both from Bancroft two counts of schedule one possession, schedule three possession, and possession of property obtained by crime.

David J. Vautour, 59 of Bancroft was charged with the same trafficking offences as well as possession of the proceeds of crime. Joseph Vautour, 61 of Bancroft is charged with those trafficking offenses too.

Additionally Kent Bowers, 39, was charged with the trafficking offenses and failure to comply with probation. Finally two from Maynooth, Christina Hudson, 37, and Erika Olmstead, 28, were charged with simple schedule one possession.

All suspects have been release, save one who will remain in custody until a bail hearing.
