The LOTTO MAX odds have shone in favour of Karen Henderson of Oshawa who won a MAXMILLIONS prize worth $500,000 in the September 30 draw.

Henderson said she’s been a regular lottery player for 20 years. “I was in the store using the ticket checker and when Big Winner appeared, I thought it was a mistake and couldn’t be right,” she shared while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up her winnings. “I checked it three more times. I was so nervous, I just couldn’t’ believe it.”

When she shared the news with her daughter, she was in complete shock. “It’s a surreal feeling,” she said. “I plan to share this win with my family.”

OLG is booking in-person prize claim appointments at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto. We strongly encourage those with claims between $1,000 and $49,999.90 to submit them online or mail them in. Submitting claims online is fast and secure. Customers with prizes over $50,000 are asked to call 1-800-387-0098 to discuss available prize claim options.

LOTTO MAX players in Ontario have won over $7.4 billion since 2009, including 94 jackpot wins and 841 MAXMILLIONS prizes, right across the province. LOTTO MAX is $5 per play and draws take place on Tuesdays and Fridays.

The winning ticket was purchased at Real Canadian Superstore on Gibb Street in Oshawa.
